Step 1 · Polish. MaxShine made its name with long-throw dual action polishers: 8, 15 and 21 mm throws for every kind of job, rotaries for heavy cutting and mini machines for where the big ones cannot reach. Backing plates and extensions complete the system.

Dual action or rotary?

A dual action (DA) spins and oscillates at the same time: no holograms and no burnt paint, so it is the everyday machine. A rotary (M1000, MB1200 Pro) only spins: it cuts much faster with wool and is the choice for sanding marks, heavy oxidation and gel coat, but needs an experienced hand and usually a refining pass with the DA afterwards.

Which thread do MaxShine polishers use?

The DAs (M8S V2, M8 Pro, M15 Pro, M21 Pro) use a 5/16"-24 thread, the DA standard. The rotaries (M1000, MB1200 Pro) use M14 or 5/8", depending on the version. The store plates are labelled by machine: Pro Series 6" for the M15 and M21, M8S series for the M8S V2 and M8 Pro, M14 for the rotaries.
